This session will demonstrate importing survey data via LandXML
(source: FDOT EFB data collector) into Civil 3D 2011 and some tips
on the preparation of that data for use by design. We'll cover some
of the important things to keep in mind working between the
survey database and the active drawing such as how to selectively
drawing, view and edit points and figures, and how to build the existing
terrain surface. |

Bringing together a large plans set and an electronic delivery from a
variety of contributors is challenging. FDOT Sheet Set Organizer
(SSO) was designed to complement AutoCAD's Sheet Set Manager
to create project wide plans plotting and indexing, and help meet
FDOT Electronic Delivery requirements in an AutoCAD world. SSO
essentially is the AutoCAD counterpart of Sheet Navigator and
Electronic Delivery Indexer (EDI) provided by FDOT for MicroStation.
Come see how this tool will be applied to manage and assemble
plans sets. |

In this session we will see how the model can be used on the design
side to spot potential design problems, locate conflicts and can be
rendered for public presentation. You will see how to apply
materials to a model, view your drainage and utilities in 3D, and
create simple animations. You will be surprised and how quick and
easy it is.
